My experience with Oriflame Shower Gel with Soothing Aloe Vera & Maracuja:
I was quite intrigued about what Maracuja is, as I've already heard of the soothing and beauty benefits of Aloe Vera. But, Maracuja was something new to me, so I googled this information a bit to know the details:
Maracuja:
Maracuja is the Brazilian name for Passion Flower. Maracuja oil - also known as Passionfruit Oil, is an exotic oil and is used to treat hair and skin. Rich in Essential Fatty Acids, and high in vitamin C, Maracuja Oil can be very beneficial when added to dry skin and hair formulations. Maracuja Oil also contains a significant amount of the nutritive minerals, calcium and phosphorus. Stable sources of Vitamin C are rarely found in skin care ingredients, making Maracuja Oil very special. These beneficial properties combined with its light, easily absorbed texture, make Maracuja Oil an excellent Body or Hair Oil. It can also be combined with other ingredients to create facial serums, hair conditioners, creams, lotions, and moisturizing masks. (Source )
Now coming back to the product review, I like the texture and consistency of this shower gel. The lovely yellow-orange color works well in brightening up my day. The gel lathers well and is also hydrating for my skin. Below are certain pros and cons of this shower gel:
Pros:
1) It has sweet-citrusy smell which is perfect for summers. The smell really freshens me up and helps me relax while I take shower using this after spending a long tiring day at office.
2) The color and texture of the gel is bright yellow-orange, which instantly brightens up my day every morning. A perfect summery color!
3) The shower gel lathers well and hence helps in giving me that squeaky clean feeling.
4) It is quite moisturizing in effect as I've not felt any itchiness or dryness using this shower gel. I have highly dry skin on my body and many times it happens that I skip applying body lotion while I am rushing to my office. Since, I've been using this shower gel, I've not experienced any kind of itchiness or dry flakes anywhere on my skin.
Cons:
1) It has SLS.
2) The smell is though sweet-citrusy, but it sometimes feels too sweet and strong to my taste, so may be a problem for sensitive noses.
3) Availability: You need to contact an Oriflame consultant to get your hands on this.
4) Price: Some may find it a bit expensive for the amount you get. So, better try to get this when it is on month's offer.
Overall verdict: I like the smell, texture and over all effects of this shower gel and would definitely recommend for summer time. However, sensitive noses be ware of its strong sweet-citrusy fragrance.
Rating: 4/5
