Red Carpet Jewels: Most Expensive Oscar Jewely Ever!

Tomorrow night the red carpet rolls out again for the 87th Academy Awards.  To get you in the mood for fabulous jewelry here's a look at some of the most expensive jewels ever worn to the Oscars.

One of the most expensive and unique pieces was designed for Kate Winslett by Tiffany & Co.  She wore the stunning yellow diamond pendant paired with matching earrings and bracelets for the 82nd Academy Awards.  The price tag?  $2.5 million!
Jennifer Garner's diamond necklace at the 85th Academy Awards is tied with Winslet's at $2.5 million.  The stunning piece has almost 200 carats of diamonds.

Nicole Kidman dazzled at the 80th Academy Awards in this custom made piece by L'Wren Scott.  The necklace combined over 7,500 rough, faceted and polished diamonds at a price of $7 million!

Anne Hathaway co-hosted the 83rd Academy Awards and for the first of her many looks that night she chose this 94-carat diamond necklace by Tiffany & Co. with a price tag of $10 million.

But the most expensive piece of jewelry ever worn at the Oscars is a 15-carat blue diamond necklace by Harry Winston.  The $20 million piece was worn by Best Supporting Actress Nominee Gloria Stewart, the elderly Rose in Titanic, at the 70th Academy Awards.  The piece was reminiscent of the Heart of the Ocean necklace that appeared in the movie.

Check back next week - we'll post photos of the best jewelry on the red carpet Sunday night!
